California Employees Spring into Action to Fight Cancer
Employees from Avnet Electronics Marketing (EM) Americas' Milpitas, Calif., facility did more
than just wear jeans on Feb. 19. The team collected donations for the American Cancer Society's
Daffodil Days.

As the first flower of spring, the daffodil represents hope and renewal. To the American Cancer
Society, it symbolizes the hope for a future without cancer. For 35 years, Daffodil Days has raised
funds and awareness to help beat the disease. It involves offering daffodils every spring to donors
in appreciation for their contributions. By giving daffodils to friends, family members, local
businesspeople, and even cancer patients, donors are helping the Society offer free programs
and services to improve the lives of people with cancer.

Employees raised more than $1,000 for the Society.
