Minimum Qualifications: Students must:  Have at least two semesters of student employment eligibility.  Worked at least one semester as an Intramural Sports Assistant in the University Recreation Office.  Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.  Have strong computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry.  Ability to guide, direct, and motivate other students.  Have a flexible work schedule to meet operation's and employee needs. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Experience working with customer service industry.  Possess knowledge of organized sport activities.  Evidence of CPR/First Aid certifications.  Previous supervisory experience. General Responsibilities: The IM Team Leader reports to the Intramural Lead Student Manager and will assist the Intramural Lead Student Manager and Intramural Sports Coordinator in the daily operation of the University Recreation Office. Specific Duties:
1. Responsible for promoting and supporting the activities of the Intramural Sports Program. 2. Responsible for meeting the needs of the officials, participants, and users, and portraying a positive attitude. 3. Responsible for enforcing university, building, programmatic and department policies and procedures with the participants and users. 4. Responsible for assisting staff in the operations of the Sports & Fitness Center (University Recreation Office, Health & Fitness Center, Intramural Sports, Sports Clubs, Coaches, Physical Education Classes). This may include set-up and take down, cleaning, helping operations when busy, etc. 5. Responsible for sharing suggestions, ideas, equipment needs, etc. with Intramural Sports Coordinator and/or Lead Student Manager. 6. Responsible for assisting with office training of IM Assistants. 7. Responsible for scheduling and leading periodic team meetings to discuss issues/concerns surrounding the daily operation of the University Recreation Office. 8. Responsible for performing any other duties as assigned by the Intramural Sports Coordinator.
