The Aerobics Room is reserved for the use of the Group Fitness Programs. Members may use the room when there are no classes. All equipment MUST be returned to the Aerobics Room. Schedule in effect beginning November 2, 2009 – November 29, 2009 (subject to change)

Group Class Descriptions
Abs & Stretch: Do not underestimate the power of stretching and improving your core strength! Target your core
muscles from all angles to create a strong "powerhouse" utilizing a blend of traditional and innovative exercises from various disciplines. Then follow with an extended whole-body stretching segment. Perfect way to end your workout.

Body Sculpt: Do you want to weight train but you just hate training alone? You want the results but you just can’t push yourself without a trainer? Beginner to advanced participants will tone up with the use of exercise tools. The emphasis is on toning and defining major muscle groups through endurance activities. Beginner Yoga: This is a challenging, hot class ideal for the first-timer as well as the continuing yoga student
who wishes to explore the poses and the breath more deeply. You will use breath and the principles of alignment to safely open the body in this yoga experience.

*Belly Dancing: Watch for our Belly Dance posters. This class is a progressive class and runs in 6 or 8 week session
blocks. It is advised that members commit to a session block rather than taking the class once in a while. Pre-Registration is required for each session. There is a fee for non-members. Watch for postings for the next session!

Cardio Combo: Target your heart and muscles all in one class! This mix of moves will increase your heart rate and
strengthen your body from head to toe. Kickbox Bootcamp: Have you got what it takes? A combination of the most popular cardio moves with a martial arts twist that will tone the entire body. This class may include station work, or athletic conditioning, or core focused-moves. Get your heart pumping and have fun at the same time! *MMA (Martial Arts): Sweat like mad during this karate, kickboxing and everything else class. This double black belt will instruct and push you to your limits during the MMA class. Even the most conditioned athletes will be challenged in this diehard class. There is a fee for non-members. Power Yoga: This fun, challenging class will allow you to move, sweat and breathe like you never have before. The classes are always a little bit different, a creative and eclectic mix of traditional yoga linked together by breath. You will build stability, strength and stamina as we introduce balance poses, inversions, and back bends. Sit & Fit (chair fitness): No matter what your physical limitation may be, we will help you find joy and satisfaction in a variety of exercise techniques and musical routines. Equipment will include light weights, chairs, dynabands, dowels, ties etc. Sensible Fitness: Fitness techniques developing strength, endurance, flexibility, range of movement and a sense of humour. Dynabands, dowels, ties, etc are used. Prerequisite: good shoes and a smile! Watch for next session. Step and Sculpt: Do a little bit of fancy stepping as you enjoy a high-energy step workout then sculpt your muscles. This weight routine will help firm your body using a variety of weights and resistance equipment. Get your cardio and some sculpting in during this workout! *ZUMBA: Fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic workout system that will blow you away! ZUMBA incorporates traditional cumbia, salsa, samba and merengue music. ZUMBA comes from the Spanish slang “To move fast & have fun.” Ditch the routine, join the party! There is a fee for non-members. Interval Training: A full hour of heart thumping cardio, combined with challenging sculpting to shape your body while pushing your cardio to its limits! Beach Body Bootcamp: The newest class added to our schedule just in time for summer! A combination of cardio and strength training that will tone your entire body. This class may include station work, athletic conditioning and core focused moves. Get ready to sweat! Sweat & Muscle: A cardio class designed with you in mind. An all over workout that’s sure to make you sweat and come back for more. Different toning exercises are incorporated to give you a total body workout. You’ll never know what’s coming next!
