ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Briar Ridge Bond Reduction Request – The original improvement security amount was $206,078.13. In correspondence dated May 16, the developer requested a reduction to $96,212.50. Upon his review and concurrence, the Township Engineer agreed to the reduction plus appropriate reduced amounts for fees ($9621.25) and contingency ($10,583). The reduction totals $116,417.13 and the improvement guarantee will be $89,661.00.

Municipal Solid Waste and Curbside Recycling/Bulk Item Collection – Penn Waste was awarded the five year contract for the collection and disposal of municipal solid waste, recyclables and bulk items. The contract will begin on July 2, 2008 and end on July 1, 2013. Free “BEE MOVIE" in the Park - Meadows Park July 18th and 19th South Hanover Township is proud to announce it’s first ever “Drive in Movie Event” which will be held on Friday, July 18th and Saturday, July 19th at Meadows Park. The Hershey Drive-In Theatre, a new portable outdoor movie theatre that travels throughout south central Pennsylvania, will be presenting the 2007 blockbuster and comedy film, "Bee Movie", an animated feature produced by DreamWorks Animation, starring the voices of Jerry Seinfeld, Renee Zellweger, and Chris Rock. Gates will open at Meadows Park at 7:00 pm and the movie will begin around 9:00 pm. There will be no admission fee charged. Concessions will be provided and available for purchase. www.usatheatres.com.

Town meeting with Senator Jeff Piccola - Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 10:00 - 10:45 am at the Municipal Building. 2nd Annual “Shred-It” Recycling Day - Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 9am-11am at Meadows Park. Last fall, when the township held its first ever event, we received information back from Shred-It that indicated that based on the amount of items that were shredded during our event, it was estimated that 14 trees were saved from destruction because of our participation!

Swatara Creek Bridge Replacement - The project will consist of the replacement of the Dauphin County Bridge No. 122 and the corresponding realignment of Hanover Street (T-422) over Swatara Creek. The proposed bridge will be located approximately 320 feet upstream of the existing structure over Swatara Creek in order to create a four-way signalized intersection at Hershey Park Drive and North Hockersville Road. The project was expected to be completed by September however a delay in the permitting and funding has occurred.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS FOR AGENDA Willow Creek Farm – Applicant has agreed to an extension of time (30 days) for review of Willow Creek Farms subdivision plan Penn Waste – The Harrisburg Authority has increased the price for all commercial haulers in Dauphin County to $69.00 per ton. This in turn will increase the annual fee charged to each participant in the SHT Municipal Solid Waste & Recycling Program $ 2.67. The fee will now be $ 53.92 per quarter.
