                       HIRING OUR HEROES PROGRAM

LIVONIA, Mich. – Through a unique program developed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce
Foundation, Roush has committed to hiring 50 veterans by the end of 2014. The National
Chamber Foundation and Capital One have teamed up to develop Hiring 500,000 Heroes, a
multi-year initiative to work with businesses to make commitments to hire 500,000 veterans and
military spouses by the end of 2014.

As the program’s website attests, “These Americans have years of the best training and
possess extraordinary skills. They show up early, leave late, know how to work in teams, how to
manage people and materials, and they can adapt to ever-changing environments under
demanding pressures.”

One of the program’s most successful initiatives is participation in local job fairs. To date, Hiring
Our Heroes has hosted more than 560 hiring fairs. On October 2, Roush will be participating in
one of the group’s hiring fairs in Ann Arbor, and is actively seeking veterans trained in
engineering, machining, mold making, fabrication, composites, and mechanic services. Roush
will also be participating in a Veterans’ Job Fair in Southfield on October 8. Additional
information and available positions are listed at

“We view this as a win-win opportunity,” said Roush Vice President Steve Sciatto. “We are able
to help veterans and transitioning service members find meaningful employment, while Roush
benefits from access to an extremely well-trained work force that has exhibited the highest
standards of leadership and integrity. The agreement to hire veterans connects to our corporate
culture, and we are confident that military veterans will be an asset to any company or

Hiring Our Heroes was launched in March 2011. Working with the U.S. Chamber of
Commerce’s vast network of state and local chambers and other strategic partners from the
public, private, and non-profit sectors, the program’s goal is to create a movement across
America in hundreds of communities where veterans and military families return every day.
Hiring Our Heroes has hosted more than 560 hiring fairs in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the
District of Columbia. Through March 31, 2013, 20,200 veterans and military spouses had
obtained jobs. Online tools have been also been integrated into the employment workshops
that are taking place at hundreds of fairs to enhance the Hiring Our Heroes experience.
