Certified green power
Certified green power has been used at the Waldkirch plant
since 01/01/2012. Waldkirch accounts for approx 60%
of the SICK Group's total power requirement in Germany.

At least 90% of the power originates from regenerative energy
sources while a maximum of 10% is generated by a cogenera-
tion system. 17% of the national average power consumption
is generated from renewable energies. This will allow about
450 t CO2 emissions to be prevented every year in the future.
