I just purchased one of these over the weekend and completely fell in love with it on the first trip to
Lake Tahoe. I originally wanted to go with the Skybox 16. My friend had one installed on his Audi
A3. When I purchased my BMWX3 I knew I would have garage clearance issues if I went with a
cargo box. I was tired of putting wet and dirty snowboard equipment in my trunk space and knew I
had to get a cargo box to enjoy my weekends away. Low and behold, Yakima releases this extra
low wonder. I snagged the last one at my local rack store. I did hesitate with the price at first.
However, being able to park in your garage with the roof car box is priceless. This box is the widest
box Yakima offers, so don't expect to install anything else on top unless you have some really long
cross bars. Also this box is really quiet on the wind noise. I have experienced many different setups
for roof top cargos, and by far this is one of the quietest without the need of any modifications
(fairings/strings/bungie/etc).

I purchased my Yakima SkyBox LoPro Titanium from HumblePower for about $480 after rebate. I
was shopping for a the Skybox 18. My friend had one installed on his Toyota Highlander. When I
purchased my Passat, I decided to go with a new shiny box. SkyBox LoPro Titanium is the widest
box Yakima offers, so needless to say, it takes up the bulk of the roof width. This box is really quiet
on the wind noise, and by far this is one of the quietest without the need of any modifications.

A bit disappointed for the price. When closed it rattles a bit; not the highest quality. I would have
preferred a Thule, but they do not make a LoPro model (11. 5 high), which allows me to have the
unit on top of the Highlander SUV, and still drive into the garage. This was a high priority, and the
LoPro was the only one I could find. Overall, quite pleased. Would have given it 5 stars except for
the "rattle when locked" problem.

This item is for sale all over the internet for about $150. 00 less than than $734. 00. Why would
anyone pay that much?

My town has a very poor selection for roof racks and boxes. I was really looking to find something
that would hold my 6 snowboards and still pull into the garage. My previous setup was a powder
hound 4 board rack and a cheap no name holder that held 2 boards but scared me to use. After
looking around on the internet I did not see anything about it on a Pathfinder, and very little with real
world use. I was a leery of ordering this online but I measured everything out and went for it.
Thankfully Amazon Prime gave me free shipping. Pros: I can still pull into the garage! Better gas
milage less wind noise equipment does not freeze on the ride to the mountain i'm always sure the
equipment is secure Easy to install Cons: Price a little flappy in the wind.
