Newspaper Grading Rubric
Includes all of the following and are directly related to the novel, “Sam”: *Original title *Date of publication *Two news stories *Two personality features *Two editorials *One first hand account story *One news feature *Two advertisements *By-lines for each story *Appropriate pictures and/or clipart 20 18 16 *One or less spelling errors. *One or less grammar errors. *One or less punctuation errors. *One or less capitalization errors. *Four or less total convention errors. *Missing one or more of the required pieces. *One or more of the required articles is not directly related to the novel, “Sam.” *Pictures and/or clipart are inappropriate for the time period.
