Jodhpur is the 2nd largest province in the state of Rajasthan. This city
was established in the 15th century by Rao Jodha. He was the king of
Mandore and belonged to the Rathore clan. He occupied some areas
around Jodhpur, named the whole region as Marwar and Jodhpur
became the capital of this new state.

The place has numerous historical and spiritual structures like
Meherangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Mandore and Mandore gardens,
which attract people from all across the world. There are certain places

2013, the festival is being celebrated on 17-18 October. Celebrated
during the full moon of Sharad Poornima, the Marwar festival of
Jodhpur goes on for two days. The main attraction of this festival is Folk
Music focusing on the romantic lifestyle of Rajasthani Rulers. The
festival is organized to honor the heroes of Rajasthan. The bravery of
the valiant heroes is celebrated through folk music and dances of the
region of Marwar. Through their high-spirited performances, the artists
narrate and laud the tales of the bygone warriors.
