Skating Several programs are offered for various age groups. All programs are taught by professional skating instructor, Joni Podres. Skates and helmets are required. 1. Mom, Pops, and Tots - Introduce your child to the joy of skating in a safe atmosphere with our professional instructor. This beginner program is designed to help preschoolers develop the basic coordination and strength necessary to maneuver on the ice. Parents’ participation is encouraged. General Information The City of Glens Falls Recreation Department is located at 175 Dix Avenue, East Field. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The phone number is 761-3813. Program Registration Procedures A completed Program Registration Form (enclosed) is required to enroll in any program, except those designated otherwise. Please mail your completed Program Registration Form to the City of Glens Falls Recreation Department, unless otherwise noted. A separate form must be completed for each individual. Duplicate copies of the form may be made. Registrations will not be accepted over the phone, or at the program location. Please note some programs have a maximum enrollment and are, therefore, on a first-come first-served basis. Be sure to enclose the program fee. Make checks payable to City of Glens Falls Recreation Department. There will be a $20.00 charge for returned checks. If you have a scheduling conflict or a medical concern, a refund, less a $5.00 processing fee per person, per class, will be issued if we are not notified at least one week before the program begins. No refund will be issued with less than one week notice. If the City of Glens Falls Recreation Department cancels a program due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified by phone and your fees fully refunded.
