Robin Cardiges made a motion to approve the amended Minutes from the last Booster Association Meeting and Sue Kelly seconded the motion. The minutes were approved by unanimous vote. Report on WIKA Fundraiser: Sue Kelly reported that we had 30 Cadets and 10 parents volunteer for this event. The vendor was very pleased with our work and would like to have us help with future events. Sue noted that more Cadets will be needed to staff future events. $2,000.00 was raised for the program. Asheville Drill Results: Gy Erwin reported that this was the first Drill Meet of the Season and the Cadets were well behaved. He reported that the scheduling went 'like clockwork' and thanked the parents and volunteers for making that happen. We placed in top four in all of our events. Let's Go Green: Gy Erwin displayed the official kit of demonstration products to be sold by Let's Go Green. He distributed a Parkview MCJROTC flier and requested color fliers. Lisa Mayo agreed to print the fliers for the program and to have them for distribution at Lilburn Daze. Gy Erwin noted that door to door solicitation will not be necessary, but a reasonable goal would be for each Cadet to solicit 10 people. This will be an ongoing fundraiser that will be available through the Fundraising page of the Parkviewmcjrotc website. Robin will add a link to the website with instructions for crediting purchases to our Program. NEW BUSINESS: Lilburn Daze: Danielle Johnson reported that LWA has waived the $100 booth setup fee. The Women's Club will donate $100 to our program in recognition for our help with parking and security detail during the event (9am to 5pm 13 October, 2007). She requested 10 cadets for parking and security and 10 for helping with the booth. It was agreed that the Cadets should wear Cami's so they can work either area. The booth will contain Let's Go Green items and fliers, Chick-fil-a Calendars, information on our Sponsorship Plan and items to be raffled. Items will be raffled and awarded at this event Minutes 20071008 13 include: three hour limo ride with Crown Luxury, Dinner for two at a local restaurant and a Taylor Made Gift Basket.
