Group of cancer patients experiences a day without cancer on the red carpet at The 65th Primetime
Emmy Awards.

Los Angeles, CA, October 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- YES! Beat Liver Tumors, a nonprofit organization
dedicated to the support of patients diagnosed with primary or metastatic cancers of the liver, provided a
dozen terminal cancer patients with the opportunity to enjoy a day away from cancer. The patients and
their caregiver traveled to Los Angeles from different parts of the country with the help of numerous
individuals who donated goods and services to make a memorable weekend even more special.

“We are excited about the opportunity to share our message with such an influential audience at the 65th
Primetime Emmy Awards, and appreciate the support from all involved,” said Suzanne Lindley,
co-founder and executive director of YES! who herself is living with terminal cancer. Survivors were
gifted with original watercolor paintings by Tommy Buell McDonnel Art of Pinehurst, NC. The group
spent two nights in a beautiful Malibu mansion donated by the owner, had hair and make-up provided by
Diana Lomelin and her team, and experienced the red carpet in dresses gifted by famed gown designer,
Dalia MacPhee.

“Events like this provide us with priceless time together. We not only get to share it with those that love
us the most but others who are experiencing similar battles,” says colon cancer survivor Vicki Lehman.
“I'm 56. For a day, I get to leave cancer behind and feel like a princess.” NBC Los Angeles was on hand
to film before and after of the survivors as well as air their story from the red carpet. The message for all
those watching is that these survivors are living proof that it is possible to live fully in spite of a
devastating diagnosis.
