8/14/2008 PROJECT: Janitorial Services at the Seattle Terminal Radar Approach Control Center (TRACON) RFO: DTFANM-08-R-00136 AMENDMENT NO.: 0002 The purpose of this amendment is to address questions/concerns/clarifications submitted by potential offerors. Please also see the revised Frequency Schedule. 1. Please see revised Frequency Schedule. Clarifications/additions are in red. 2. Number of employees in the facility: 75-80 (estimate) 3. Cleaning the fridge in the break rooms: janitors will be instructed to hang a sign on the fridge the week before they are planning to clean out the refrigerator 4. Hours of shifts: Day shift usually begins around 7am and ends at 3:30pm. Night shift usually begins around midnight and ends around 5:30 or 6am. 5. Waxing: in all areas that require waxing, the requirements are for waxing to take place in March and September 6. Add to materials list: florescent light bulbs for administrative areas, and GoJo soap to be used in wall dispensers in small bathrooms on East side of the building, both break rooms, room 203, and Radar Operations workshop. 7. Question) OPERATION AREAS (CONTROL ROOM) Item 1 states frequency as daily – both shifts. What are the hours of these shifts? Answer) See #4 above 8. Question) OPERATION AREAS (CONTROL ROOM) Item 2 states frequency as 3 times per week or as needed (12am – 2am). Are we correct in that these 2 hours are the hours in which the vacuuming can be done? Answer) Yes. Vacuuming in the Control Room is only permitted between the hours of 12am and 2am. A small flash light for use during the vacuuming is permissible. 9. Question) OPERATION AREAS (CONTROL ROOM) Item 4 states frequency as 3 days per week. Are these to be dusted only during the day shift? Answer) During the night shift only between 12am and 2am 10. Question) ADMINISTRATIVE AREA/OFFICE/CONFERENCE/BREAKROOMS. Item 3 states 3 days per week (M,W,F).
8/14/2008 Answer) There are locked doors in some of the administrative/office areas. The janitor will need to coordinate with the employees when a good time would be to perform the vacuuming in those areas. The downstairs hallways are the only areas that can be vacuumed during the day shift. All other vacuuming in the facility needs to take place during the night shift. 11. Question) BATHROOMS. Item 9 states frequency as daily. Is this to be accomplished on the day shift, evening shift, or either shift? Answer) This can be done on either shift. 12. Question) EXTERIOR: BACK PATIO & FRONT WALKWAY AND GUARD SHACK. Are these to be completed on the day shift or night shift, or either? Answer) Day shift and night shift during the summers months of May 1 thru Sept 15 13. Question) Do you have a break down of the square footage of the carpeted areas and hard surface areas? Answer) 50,000 sq ft building – approx. 80% is carpeted 14. Question) Is snow or ice removal on the exterior areas part of this contract? Answer) No 15.
