New Listing Email Features
You may have noticed some new features in the listing emails you are receiving form your real estate agent. This guide will give you a brief overview of how those new features can help you to categorize listings. Your agent can email listing information to you in two ways: manually, or by setting up automatic emails. Both types of emails contain a hyperlink that you can click on to view listings. When you click on the link in an email, the page will open to display the listings in that email. See the example below. Click on the Favorites tab to view all listings you marked as Favorites in one place. Same for Possibilities and Discarded. Your agent can view these tabs to see which listings you like and don’t like.
Display Options
You can change the display and # of listings per page.
The listings will be displayed in the System Summary – Customer display. The screen display and the number of listings per page can be changed by changing the options for the Display and number of listings per page toward the bottom of the screen (see above). This new email will remember the display you use most often and will default to it whenever you open emails from Matrix.
Tabs
When you click on the link to view listings emailed by your agent, five tabs are displayed: Start, Email, Favorites, Possibilities, and Discarded. The Start tab – under Auto Emails, you will see links to all Automatic searches that your agent has set up for you. Under Manual E-mails, you’ll see all the emails for all of the listings that your agent has manually sent to you in the past 90 days.
The links for Manual emails and auto emails work slightly differently. Clicking on the link for an auto email will bring up the listings that currently match that saved search. Clicking on the link for a manual email will bring up the listings that were sent in that email. The Email tab is the default view that opens when you click on the link to view listings. For listings that you haven’t viewed in the Full - Customer, Short - Customer and Synopsis – Customer displays, the MLS number will display in bold text. You can click on the Favorites, Possibilities and Discarded tabs to quickly and easily view all of the listings that you have marked as Favorites, Possibilities or Discarded in one place. Note: the total number of listings marked as Favorites is shown in parenthesis on the Favorites tab. This number is per property type. This means that if you are looking at residential listings, you will see the total number of residential listings marked as Favorites in parenthesis on the Favorites tab. The same goes for the Possibilities and Discarded tabs. • Click on an MLS number to view that listing in the Full – Customer display. The subject of the auto email the listing was sent in will display as the tab name. • Click on the photo icon for a popup containing all the photographs for that listing • Click the globe icon to view this listing's location on the map. • Sort listings by clicking one of the column headings There are also some icons at the bottom of the screen:
• Click the Print icon to print all listings currently displayed, or select the listings you want to print. The listings will print in the display you are viewing them in on Email+. • Click the Map icon to plot all listings currently displayed on a map, or select listings of interest to plot them on a map • Mark as Read: when you mark listings as read, the MLS # will no longer appear in bold text. • Check one or more listings and click the Add to Favorites, Add to Possibilities or Discard icons to classify them as such and save on the tabs of corresponding names, which you can see near the top of the screen. This will help organize listings into those of interest, those that might be of interest, and those of no interest.
Automatic Email Features
These features are only present when viewing listings sent through automatic emails that your agent has set up for you. Order of Listings For auto emails, the most recent listings will be at the top, and the least recent emails will be at the bottom. You can sort the listings by clicking on the column headers on any of the one-line displays. Listings Highlighted in Yellow Listings that were listed or updated within the past 24 hours will be highlighted in yellow. The yellow highlight will disappear after you have viewed the listing in the Customer – Full or Customer – Short display, or if you use the “Mark as Read” icon. Email Tab When you are viewing listings sent through an auto email, the auto email search name will display as the email tab name.
Filter Results You can filter the listings they receive through auto emails by using the filter options. The default filter option is Show All.
To view all filter options, click the Filter Results link near the top of the screen. You can then click on one of the filter links displayed:
• Show All: This will show all the listings that still match the saved search criteria except for Discarded listings • Only Unread: This is a quick way to view the listings that you've not yet looked at in full page view • Listings that no longer match – this filter option is only available after one or more listings that were included in auto emails to the consumer have been updated and no longer match the saved criteria for that auto email search • All Including Discarded: This will show all the listings including listings that have been marked as Discarded
