MIZZOU's, zouLIFE, Provides Responsible Message to Young Adults to
Promote Skin Cancer Awareness
University of Missouri, Columbia, has partnered with Tans Are Now Safe, Custom Spray Tanning to
provide a safe alternative to traditional tanning practices for their 25,000 plus students in order to
reduce Skin Cancer cases among this age group.
Columbia, MO, August 22, 2013 --(PR.com)-- In efforts to promote a responsible message and healthy
alternative to students obtaining that just off the beach tan look that so many of them desire, the
University of Missouri- Columbia has partnered with Tans Are Now Safe, Custom Spray Tanning to
discourage the use of tanning beds. This will allow the college to provide custom spray tanning services
on campus at their state of the art student recreation/fitness center in Columbia, Missouri.
With the skin cancer cases on the rise and reaching epidemic rates for this age demographic, and it being
stated by health organizations across the world that is mainly due to the use of tanning beds and excessive
outdoor tanning, it was important for the college to help educate their students on a safer way of tanning.
MIZZOU's very own spa "zouLIFE" features this service and other services that promote a healthy
lifestyle. The custom spray tanning services cost $25 per spray tan and lasts approximately one week. The
spa has one time spray cost and also semester packages that can be student charged.
Tans Are Now Safe, TANS, is a nationwide company that provides a full turnkey business package to
those that wish to offer spray tanning services- both existing businesses and individuals wishing to start
their own TANS business. With having over 85 locations across the country, getting these services
offered at all major colleges is TANS main objective to continue to educate and spread skin cancer
awareness in hopes to reverse this epidemic crisis. www.tansarenowsafe.com
