Fool Proof Prime Rib Recipe I'll make this quick. Prime Rib is not incredibly trivial to
make. I have lots of friends who ask me time and time again when they are treated to my
Prime Rib dinner get togethers how I make mine. Well the truth is I constantly
experiment with various recipes that range from easy to complicated and time
consuming. If you want a no brain-er format for making a great tasting prime rib that
doesn't require a lot of time and effort here you go... What you'll need: Prime Rib (I use
about a 14lb.) Kosher Salt Ground Peppercorns Worcestershire Sauce Generously coat
the meat with Worcestershire sauce, then cover the outside of the meat with your crushed
peppercorns and kosher salt. Toss it in an oven pan and add about 1/4 cup of water to the
bottom of the pan. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees and cook your prime rib for a few hours-
ish. Using a meat thermometer you are shooting for the goal of 140 degrees. This will be
your goal for a typically medium rare to rarish prime rib. In my house I usually prefer
150 degree temperature in the meat as this is more of a medium to medium rare done-
ness that I prefer myself. There is another method to this madness as well. You can
preheat your oven to 500 degrees. Toss in the meat, and let it cook for 30 minutes, then
turn the oven OFF. Do NOT open the door for anything whatsoever for the next 2 hours
The old saying "when the smoke detector goes off... dinner is ready" might be an old
favorite in your house. Enjoy
