CHARLOTTE, NC – Waypoint, a global leader in Information Technology Managed Services and Solutions, is proud to congratulate its founder and president, Dan Wilson, for his recent recognition as one of Charlotte’s Top CIOs. The Charlotte Business Journal hosted a luncheon celebration on July 11 that honored its five category winners as well as the finalists for each of the groups. Wilson’s recognition as a finalist in the Small to Midsized Business category of the inaugural CIO of the Year Awards for the Charlotte Business Journal is the result of his vision and leadership.
Wilson joined many luncheon attendees as well as the other finalists in celebrating the successes of the winners and the excitement of being among the group distinguished by the Charlotte Business Journal’s inaugural CIO of the Year Awards program.
Wilson started Waypoint 10 years ago, and has led its growth to employ a team of 23 who serve more than 270 clients. Revenue growth prompted Inc. Magazine to include Waypoint at No. 1787 in last year’s list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country and the Charlotte Business Journal to include the company in its Fast 50 program for three years.
“This recognition illustrates what an amazing team Waypoint is. The growth and success for which this honor was bestowed are the fruits of our combined efforts,” comments Dan Wilson, President of Waypoint. “I wouldn’t be here today without their expertise, perseverance and enthusiasm.”
Waypoint is headquartered in Charlotte, NC, and has offices in key cities on the East Coast to provide businesses and organizations with expert IT services.
