Monterey Peninsula Real Estate Attorney Reports - Carmel Pine Cone Magazine Real Estate Section February 15, 2013 Well, we certainly landed in the middle of a controversy we never expected with our coverage last week of a racy party at a downtown restaurant. A Monterey attorney went so far as to ask a judge to order the removal of our papers from the streets. That's certainly never happened before! We have a follow-up story by Kelly Nix, an editorial and a front page "clarification." Pebble Beach businessman Scott Salyer's downfall is complete and he'll spend six years in federal prison after being sentenced Tuesday in Sacramento. The hearing included several fascinating debates and surprising revelations, and I was there. In a major triumph for sound public policy, the water board recommended this week that the new desal plant (if it's ever built) be big enough to supply a little new water for lots of record and other essential uses. Kelly reports that one, too. A jewelry store at the mouth of Carmel Valley was brazenly robbed last Friday by two men pretending to be utility workers looking for a gas leak. Speaking of Carmel Valley, county supervisors have decided to lower a development cap there, settling a lawsuit from environmentalists over the county's new general plan. especially at their ages of 2 and 4.
    Carmel Valley: Resident reported her bank account informa-
tion was used to create and cash two fraudulent checks in the
state of Tennessee.
    Carmel Valley: Encina Drive resident reported receiving
annoying telephone calls over the past several years.
    Carmel area: Juvenile was reported as a runaway. During
the time of the report, juvenile was located and returned home to
