July 2013 – Newsletter #2
Welcome to the second edition of the monthly Newsletter. The Project is now in construction week 10 of 90, and is on track to complete
in February 2015.
A lot has changed since the last Newsletter as the foundation works have progressed at a rapid rate. We will be in a position to pour the
sub-basement concrete slab in early August. The tower crane erection will commence shortly after this and will take place over two days
on the weekend of 10/08/13 with a reserve date of 17/18 August in case the weather works against us. Underpinning the vaults that
stretch under Oxford Street has begun and is progressing steadily.
The works undertaken thus far include full excavation down to sub-basement level and underpinning to 76 Oxford Street party wall.
We work closely with Westminster City Council Highways Department to ensure deliveries are carried out safely and with minimum
impact on our neighbouring businesses and the general public. We are also considering our neighbours in terms of noise & high impact
works by ensuring works are carried out in line with Westminster’s quiet time hours.
