JCRC: Your Go To Resource for Jewish Advocacy in Schools The JCRC (Jewish Community Relations Council) is the central public affairs agency of the organized Jewish community. We are here to support the Jewish community, including issues that arise in our schools. If you are a parent of school-aged children and have concerns about holiday conflicts, religious curriculum/assignments or anti-Semitism on campus, please contact us if you need help working with your child’s school. We send public schools a calendar of Jewish observances twice during the school year to assist them in avoiding conflicts with important school activities. We provide administrators and teachers with information about the December holidays to better insure sensitivity to students of all faiths. We have resources and materials for parents to help them approach teachers and administrators on their child’s behalf. We address anti-Semitic and anti-Israel literature/graffiti by contacting administrators and recommending solutions. If you or someone you know needs our assistance, please contact Myrna David, East Bay JCRC Regional Director at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (510) 318-6417.
