									         HONORS SCIENCE
 INDEPENDENT PROJECT RUBRICS

Attached are all of the rubrics for your project. At each
checkpoint, you MUST include the correct rubric. Each rubric
clearly outlines the expectations for each assignment. Below is a
breakdown of the points involved in this project and the due dates
for all aspects of the project. These dates are non-negotiable.
Assignments are to be in the teacher’s possession by 3:00 pm on
the date that they are due.

The total project is worth 450 points. Failure to complete the
project will result in an 02 for the course. You CANNOT
successfully complete any honors science course without fulfilling
the requirements of this project.

              REQUIRED ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

We have read the Honors Science Project Information Packet and accept the
following criteria:
1. A science project is a mandatory requirement for the honors science course.
   This project is a replacement for doing summer work. Failure to complete the
   project will result in the student not receiving credit for the course.
2. Students who do not meet the established deadlines will be assessed late
   deductions and will be in jeopardy of losing their recommendation to continue in
   the honors program their junior year.
3. Final Projects submitted after Feb 24th (over 2 weeks late) will only receive ½
   credit. Projects submitted after March 15th (over 1 month late) will receive 0
   points.
4. Students must earn a minimum of a 70% in order to be recommended for
   Honors Chemistry.
5. All guidelines are to be followed as stated in the handbook.
