Unit: 12 On The Farm

1.1.3 Able to listen to, say aloud and recite rhymes or sing songs
Standard: 1.1.4 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance.
By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to
Objectives: 1. talk about the picture shown with at least one target sentence
2. recite the poem with correct rhythm and intonation
Time: 60 minutes
Laptop, LCD, whiteboard, marker.
Pupils can collect pictures of animals on a farm.
Note: For a no tech lesson, teacher can prepare a crossword puzzle on a
chart.or carry it out as quiz.

1. Teacher asks the pupils to name the animals that they ever seen either in movie,
picture or on a farm. The pupils’ responses will be written on the whiteboard.
2. Next the teacher asks the pupils to turn to page 91 and talk about the picture. The
teacher can post a few questions to keep the discussion going.
a. Who are in the picture? ( Larry (boy) and a girl)
b. What is the boy doing? (nap /sleep)
c. Do you think the boy is lazy? (Yes/No )
d. Where does the boy sleep? (on a haystack)
e. What animals can you see in the picture?
(I can see a cow on a farm)
Note : Encourage the pupils to use the sentence structure above for the other animals in the picture.
3. Teacher opens the following link and guides the pupils to search for the words. The
words will be written on the whiteboard.
