County Country Homes Welcomes The Gryphon to Prince Edward County

An 1840 house is rebuilt in Prince Edward County Ontario. This architectural gem has been
disassembled and rebuilt in a spectacular location. The historic property is soon to be open for
vacation rental by County Country Homes.

Consecon, Canada, June 30, 2013 --( Representing the finest private residences in Prince
Edward County, Ontario, County Country Homes is pleased to announce “The Gryphon” has been added
to its portfolio of vacation rentals. The Gryphon is arguably one of the finest historic properties in Ontario
and it has now found a new home in Prince Edward County. This Regency style house was originally
built in 1840's in Ancaster. It was painstakingly disassembled, moved and rebuilt in the County by
Shannon Skyles, professor of architecture at Mohawk College. The attention to historic details is quite
astounding. Huge 200 year old windows flood every room with natural light. In order to restore them they
were placed in a steam box, all glass removed, cleaned, frames painted with linseed oil and reassembled.
This is just one tiny detail of a multitude of details that will enrich the visitor's stay. Set in a quiet country
location near the Millennium hiking trail, the Gryphon enjoys a view to its private wetlands conservation
area. County Country Homes represents pedigree properties and welcomes all vacationers who wish to
explore Prince Edward County in style.
