Does Self Sabotage Mask the Life You Deserve? What do you tell yourself when you look in the mirror? Are you using positive, supportive words? Or are you critical of yourself? Of your looks, your abilities? Self sabotage is very powerful. And it can cost you. It can cost you opportunities, relationships, promotions, a better body, etc. We often trigger self sabotage when we fear our own success, our own progress, our own empowerment.

Does Self Sabotage Mask the Life You Deserve?
What do you tell yourself when you look in the mirror? Are you using positive, supportive words? Or
are you critical of yourself? Of your looks, your abilities?


Self sabotage is very powerful. And it can cost you. It can cost you opportunities, relationships,
promotions, a better body, etc. We often trigger self sabotage when we fear our own success, our
own progress, our own empowerment.


It‟s a lot easier to stay where you are, right? To dig in those heels and keep on keepin‟ on.
Continuing (not progressing) in the same old comfortable, uninspired way.


Why?

Because subconsciously we perceive “staying put” as less painful, less difficult, than creating a new,
more powerful and motivated mindset. The reason for this? Change often leads to pain. Makes no
sense, right? But it‟s exactly what our subconscious mind thinks . . . if we let it.


Don‟t let it. Push past those self-limiting beliefs. Don‟t let self sabotage keep you from the life you
deserve. Push forward any way you can.
Because it‟s worth it.


How Can You Stop Self Sabotage?




You must tell you mind, with a strong belief, that your goals and desires, your deepest wants: the
relationship, the career, the body, the chance – all lie on the other side of your willingness to change.
Let go of the pain you cling to.


Stop being comfortably miserable. All of your hopes and dreams lie OUTSIDE of your comfort zone.
Get uncomfortable!


Look into your WHY. Figure out what you want, how strongly you want it, why you want it. And then
ask yourself why you don‟t already have it!?


Why are you afraid to have what you want most?
Ask more questions like that. With curiosity comes the strength to move you forward. Let it.


If you refuse to let it, and your self sabotage will, once again, creep in and dis-empower you. It will
rob you of who you deserve to be, of where you aspire to ascend to.


Self sabotage will snatch from your clutches:


       Relationships      Excellence       Careers    Progress     Confidence   Hope     Curiosity

    Dedication      Clarity    Cash flow     Kindness    Equilibrium    Communication     Aspiration

                                   Commitment        Regard   Connection



How can you put a Stop to Self Sabotage?
When your feet start to come off the ground, and you feel yourself pushing the boundaries of your
comfort zone, don‟t panic. And don‟t feel compelled to return to the safety of the „known‟. Breathe.
Remember: you‟re not going to die.


When you feel self sabotage happening, recognize it, acknowledge it.


- Is this guy/girl right for me?
- Why did I eat that?
- Should I have skipped my workout this morning?
- Why did I miss that deadline?
- Why didn‟t I return that call, email, text?


Then ask yourself “Is this getting me closer to where/who I want to be?”


When you feel the self-sabotage happening, and you find yourself procrastinating, it‟s time for some
self talk. Don‟t avoid the work that needs to be put in. Where you want to go takes work. If you
sabotage yourself out of the difficult conversations, the long hours, the tough workouts, look in the
mirror and say “I love myself enough to do this. I deserve it.”


Shove your fear in a drawer. Drop the chains that have been tying you down. Demand more for
yourself. Want it more than your fear of change. The Universe gives us exactly what we ask of it. Be
sure to ask for what you really want, not what you‟d settle for.


And then act.
