                                         In addition to the topics mentioned above, you will learn how to read wine labels, when in the

                                     meal, the use of wine/spirits in cooking, and the value of drinking wine or spirits after a meal. We
                                     will discuss the history of wines and spirits - particularly the prominent role New Mexico has played.
                                     Class will walk you through wine production techniques and the fascinating process of distilling wine
                                     and mash into spirits. To complement your wine and spirits enjoyment they offer an array of light
                                     gourmet snacks to sample as you enjoy your tastings.. After the class, group will spend 2 hours at
                                     Buffalo Thunder Resort (several dinner options- you choose) and return home around 9 PM. Cost is
                                     $90 which inclues the bus, the class and driver tip. Bring money for casino activities and/or dinner.
                                     Trip minimum is 20 people. Deadline is 4/5/13.

Philip Saltz is a recent arrival at Alegria with his wife, Beverly. He is a semi-retired attorney working Mary Vaughan
primarily in the fields of Wills, Trusts, Probate and Tax. Throughout his law practice spanning over 50
years, he has been an advocate of preventative law. His talk, “Is An Ounce Of Prevention Really Worth
A Pound of Cure?”, will focus on some real life situations that could have been prevented but, instead,
resulted in incurable problems.
In addition to his law practice, Phil has been a Registered Investment Advisor, the President of the
Santa Fe Life Underwriters Association, the President of the New Mexico School For The Deaf
Foundation and the founder of The U.D. Registry, the first business of its kind that created a database
