My intention is to bring leadership and direction through my creative vision, talents and experience into an inspired supported team working toward the common goal of building strong brands with integrity, excellent design and communication. HIGHLIGHTS Ten years as a designer, illustrator, stylist and creative director, including two years in New York and four years in Italy where I worked for top design houses in the fashion and textile industries and became fluent in Italian. I have built and led a successful apparel company that attracted multiple prestigious awards and international press including Vogue, ELLE France, and covers of WWD for bringing excellent design with sustainability into the forefront of the fashion industry. I led all creative direction including branding, media, print, apparel, graphics, and web design. I use the latest communication and digital technologies in my work; this includes Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite and web design and intranet tools. I also led the design and creation of a ColdFusion application, an online apparel design project management system that tracks design, development and production as well as streamlines database driven website management. I have a strong passion and commitment to building community. I have done this through volunteer work in many forms, teaching underserved youth and college students, mentoring 25+ interns, sitting on educational advisory boards, creating and sitting on industry leadership boards and public speaking for universities, the public and industry professionals.
