                         Community Partnership Raises More Than $11,000
                               for Egg Harbor Township Schools
       EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — The Community Partnership for Egg Harbor Township
Schools, Inc. raised more than $11,000 at the second annual “Friends of Chuck Donovan
Gourmet Wine Dinner & Live Auction” held October 21 at Hidden Creek Golf Club. The event
was held in memory of Chuck Donovan, former vice president of the Community Partnership
who passed away Oct. 18, 2009 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
       Vintner Sponsors ($1,000) included Shore Medical Center, Cooper Levenson
Attorneys At Law, the Donovan Family, and UBS Financial Services. The Jazz Quartet
Sponsor ($600) was Ocean City Home Bank. The $500 Cork Sponsor was Fran Morrison,
president of the Community Partnership for Egg Harbor Township Schools, Inc. Friends of
Chuck Sponsors ($500) included Somers Point Rotary Club, Bay Harbor Realty, and Brian
Devers, president of the Egg Harbor Township Youth Organization. $250 Supporting Sponsors
included Passion Vines and Mercedes & Porsche of Atlantic City. Three courses of wines
were donated and presented by Frog’s Leap (Napa Valley) Wines, Circle Liquors and Ted
deMent of Wine Bow® wines. Circle Liquors also donated the dessert wine.
       More than $5,000 was raised through the antics of George Wilkinson, beloved Egg
Harbor Township High School Honors Calculus teacher and long-time track and football coach,
who served as comedy auctioneer. More than 15 items were auctioned off included diamond
earrings, a 5-day stay at a West Virginia mountain cabin, two wine dinners for 10 people, an
overnight stay and dinner at Borgata, a handmade quilt, and foursomes at local prestigious golf
courses were generously donated by Exclusive Jewelers, Borgata Heart & Soul Foundation,
Philadelphia Phillies, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Adventure Aquarium, Ray and Kelli Wenzel,
Lynda Donovan, WiserLink Advertising & Public Relations, J & M Coffee, Circle Liquor Store,
Stella & Dot, McCullough’s Emerald Golf Links, Mays Landing Country Club, Seaview Golf
Resort, Blue Heron Pines Golf Club, and Cape May National Golf Course.
        Established in 2006, the Community Partnership has raised more than $160,000 for the
