    PRESS RELEASE XLNTads Mock Brand Contests Showcase Growing Talents of Consumer Ad Creators Conshohocken, PA – October 23, 2007 – Today, XLNTads announced the winners of its inaugural consumer-generated advertising (CGA) contest. The winning entries demonstrate the growing talent of consumer ad creators and highlight the quality, originality and creativity CGA can offer for brand-sponsored campaigns. The XLNTads contest winners range from average consumers to film students to small production companies. Andy Signore, who earlier this year was honored at the MTV Movie Awards for his short blockbuster spoof, “United 300,” won for an ad he developed for “XLNT Shampoo.” Luther Gabriel, winner of the “XLNT Grasshopper” automobile category, used a prize he won through a previous CGA contest, Final Cut Studio editing software, to create his winning entry. “We are discovering that there is an enormous amount of untapped talent out there, and videographers from Idaho to Rhode Island, who wouldn’t typically have access to Madison Avenue ad agencies, are dying to get their work out there and be seen by online audiences,” said Neil Perry, acting CEO of XLNTads. “We were delighted by the volume of high-quality, cable TV-ready submissions we received, all for ‘pretend’ brands! In some cases viewers were even asking where they could buy these non-existent products. And we expect we’ll get even better work from our creators when they are shooting ads for brands they actually use and have an affinity for.” In August 2007, XLNTads launched with eight mock brands – from a credit card, to a candy bar, to a shampoo – to build buzz for the site and grow its pool of qualified ad creators. The response was overwhelming, as creators from all walks of life competed for eight grand prizes worth $1,500 each. “I’m always looking for new ad contests, and with each video I make, I am further honing my videography skills,” said Gabriel. “XNLTads finds those contests for me, and the more I create, the bigger and better my portfolio and profile on the site. If my work gets in front of the brands, that’s even better.” XLNTads received nearly 150 video entries for the competition and has now grown its qualified creator community to over 500.
