Directions: Listen to the sentences and write them
   down. You will hear each sentence three times.

1. In many parts of America, you are not allowed to drink alcohol
    in a pubic place.
2. Some bars have a license only for beer and wine.
3. Many bars have a period known as “happy hour”, often longer
    than an hour.
4. Legal drinking age varies from place to place but is generally
    between 18 to 21.

    allowed to sell alcohol.

A television director saw an old man conducting a dog and a horse
   in a performance on the side of the road.
She offered him some money to come to the studio so that she

The old man accepted but the next day he didn’t appear at the
   studio.
The director returned to the street again.
She found them performing on the street again.
She asked him why they hadn’d come to the studio.
He replied that he was ashamed that the horse couldn’t sing at all.
