“ Mom’s Favorite Cookie Recipe”
Bittersweet chocolate spread sandwiched between two soft light peanut butter shortbread wafers
submitted by Jessie Grearson from Falmouth, ME was the $1000.00 Grand Prize Winner in the
Sugar Association’s“Mom’s Favorite Cookie Recipe”contest.
There were over 200 fabulous tasting and original recipes entered and the judges had a hard time
picking a winner. The judges based their selection on flavor, texture, originality and appearance.
The wonderfully full flavored Ginger Molasses cookie submitted by Joanne Spencer from
d St. Johns, FL took the $600.00 second place prize and Butterscotch Pumpkin Cheesecake Bar
Peanut Butter S ookies
submitted by Tanna Richard from Cedar Rapids, IA took the $400.00 third place price.
