If start button/taskbar disappears. -Press CTRL+ESC to access the taskbar. -If CTRL+ESC didn't make it come back, then the program that displays the task bar most likely isn't running. That program is often called the "Windows Shell", but it's really "explorer.exe". It's the program that not only displays the Taskbar, but also responds to the CTRL+ESC sequence.

-The workaround: press CTRL+ALT+DEL to fire up the task manager. Now on the File menu, select New Task (Run...). Type in "explorer" and press OK. That should restart explorer and re-display your taskbar.
To switch to full screen mode and back: Press Alt+Enter.
To release keyboard and mouse from Parallels VM: Press Ctrl+Alt
The Windows primary OS will intercept the Ctrl+Alt+Del key combination pressed in the guest OS. To emulate pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del in the guest OS choose the Send Ctrl+Alt(option)+Del command from the VM menu or press Ctrl+Alt+Ins.
To pull up the Mac dock and the menubar while in Windows: Press Alt + Control

To remove a USB device: Press Alt(option)+Control to bring up the menu bar for Mac. Click on devices and move down to USB. Select which USB device you would like to remove and left click to uncheck. If it is storage device, it will show up on the Mac desktop. Then just drag it to the trash or right click and choose eject from the menu. It will then be safe to remove the USB device.
O n laptops: To log in with CTRL+ALT+DEL for windows, you must hold down CTRL+ATL+FN +DEL
