Dear Parent or Guardian:
The Edmonton Public Library, in partnership with Edmonton Catholic Schools is
promoting literacy and learning by providing a free Edmonton Public Library card to
students in your child’s school.
Throughout the year, the Library and (school name here) will explore opportunities to
encourage reading through story sessions, presentations and visits to the Library.
If you would like your child to get a free library card, please fill out the attached Youth
Application Form. If your child already has a card, remember to include the current card
number where indicated.
Please return the form to your child’s school as soon as possible. The sooner we receive
the application the sooner your child will receive their library card. Note, that it must be
signed by a parent or guardian.
After the forms have been received and processed, your child will be issued his or her
own Edmonton Public Library card that can be used at any of the 17 library branches in
Edmonton. We will be collecting statistics to determine the usage of the cards as well.
We are excited about this opportunity to provide an Edmonton Public Library card to
your child and look forward to seeing them – and you – soon!
