Dear Friends,
I am the wounded warrior who received your care package after the hummer I was in was blown up by an IED. I was air medevaced without my equipment and in the ER they cut my clothes off. I had nothing at that time. As soon as I was in a bed at the hospital, someone came by and gave me the bag that you had so caringly packed. I was able to get cleaned up and feel human again. You cannot imagine how it made me feel to know that I was not alone in this. Yours was the first touch of kindness when I needed it most. Please do not stop what you are doing. I thank you so very, very much. God bless you all!
Yours sincerely,
SFC J. Boyles

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the quilt I received in the mail. I was really touched personally, the time, energy and creativity you put into this beautiful quilt. As a soldier, my grandmother died a few years ago, I still a couple of the quilt she made me. Your work really had added and given me a feeling for home, even though I am in Iraq. THANK YOU!
Sincerely,
MAJ B. Prehn

Thank you so much for the care packages. I am an active duty Airforce ER physician & have been in Afghanistan for 6 weeks. We are very busy here and have had a lot of trauma. I was very happy to get the toiletries, activities, cards and candies. Thank you for your support.

Dear Quilters,
Many thanks from Kabul, Afghanistan for your thoughtful and generous gift of cards. My children especially enjoy receiving the mail - the cards are exciting much moreso than the news I write. Your patriotism and support is much appreciated and warming like a handmade quilt!
GBY,
S. Lambert
