RAH recruitment letter 2010

							The Kingsway Emergency Agency (KEA) is the group of emergency physicians
who work at Emergency Departments of the Royal Alexandra Hospital and the
Northeast Community Health Centre. We are looking to recruit new physicians to
start work with us July 2010 either on a permanent or locum basis.

These positions are subject to the Capital Health medical recruitment approval
process. Successful applicants must possess either a CFPC(EM), FRCP, or
DABEM certification in emergency medicine. Residents completing their last year
of FRCP of CFPC(EM) training must be eligible to write the college exams at the
time of application. Successful applicants must also be eligible for medical
licensure in the Province of Alberta and possess medical legal liability coverage
from the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).

The KEA and the University of Alberta Hospital Emergency group called GEMS,
have synchronized schedules for this year’s recruitment process. The deadline
for submitting a completed application for working with the KEA group is 1200h,
October 23, 2009. An interview will be granted to short-listed candidates on
Friday, November 6, 2009. Successful applicants will be offered position the
first week of December 2009.

A completed application includes:
1. Letter of intent, outlining career goals, special interests, and work expectations
2. Current Curriculum Vitae
3. Two letters of reference
4. Program director’s letter, or letter of support from previous Chief of Emergency
