Continuing Education Units
The majority of the plenary sessions and workshops will be approved for credit by the New York State
Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) and by the National Association of Social
Workers (NASW) for credentialing hours. The agenda is currently being reviewed for approval. Final no-
tification of all approved/unapproved sessions will be available at the conference. Until then, all sessions
are pending approval.

Registration Cancellation Policy
Registration cancellations and modifications that are received in writing on or before October 16, 2009
will be refunded less a $50.00 administrative fee. There will be no refunds after this date. Walk-ins or
replacements are welcome in writing from the same company or program.

Gearing Up to Improve Outcomes for Families:
A New York State Collaboration
OCFS, OCA and OASAS along with our county and
NYC partners, have participated in an In-Depth Techni-
cal Assistance (IDTA) project sponsored by the National
Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare. The
focus of this New York Partnership for Family Recovery
has been on families with substance use disorders in-
volved in the child welfare, chemical dependency and
family court systems. As a result of our partnership,
products have been developed including the “New York
State Collaborative Practice Guide for Managers and
