Experience with Series II (Version 7) Insurance mainframe batch software
applications where most experience was with personal and commercial auto
Extensive experience with programming languages of OS/COBOL, Easytrieve,
and SAS. Extensive experience with OS/JCL. Worked with and used Bluezone
utility for uploading/downloading mainframe files.
Worked as a senior systems programmer analyst supporting and maintaining the
daily/weekly and month end model office and production batch cycles for the
Century 21 insurance account. Also maintained any processing Cobol programs
involved with these batch cycles. As part of this support, worked with IBM utility
programs such as IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, COMPAREX, SUPERC and DYL280
to copy, compare and select file content. For COBOL program data selection
processing, loaded and processed VSAM file structure for this. Remainder of
skills and experience is the same as for Policy Management Systems
Major Projects Completed:
Converted personal auto insurance data from an AS-400 midrange platform to a
mainframe platform. Developed, tested and productionized the above mentioned

with insurance policy, application batch processing. Have supported daily/weekly
and month end production cycles for the Siebels Bruce Insurance Company.
Have good knowledge of COBOL & MVS/OS JCL, TSO functions, Easytrieve,
SAS, Panvalest libraries, Generation data sets, Partitioned data sets, generalized
table access method (GTAM), File Manipulation and Rebuilding the PIF Structure
(Policy Information file), use with various IBM Utility Maintenance Programs.
Also worked with VSAM file structure processing with Cobol programs Used
IDCAMS utility to load data to VSAM files.
Experience with Series I and Series II Insurance mainframe batch software
applications (mainly with personal and commercial auto insurance).
Major Project Completed:
Developed, tested, productionized, and maintained a complete 1099 form tax
reporting batch system for the Siebels Bruce Insurance Company which was
utilized for six tax years from 1990 to 1996. This was on a mainframe platform.

Worked as a computer operator on a “Basic Four” microcomputer operating
system utilizing the “Basic” programming language. Duties included running jobs
for and printing daily financial reports, packing slips, shipping labels, invoices and
special request reports. Also performed system backup procedure to make
copies of all production disk files, and performed all mid-month and end-of month
system operational tasks.
