LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
ON THE EVENTUAL SUCCESSFUL ELECTION OF
______________________________________ to a position within the Executive of the
National Council of Visible Minorities (NCVM) in the Federal Public Service
I, the undersigned, represent the __________________ (Name of Department / Agency) and
understand that our employee, ____________________(Name of the employee) wishes to
become a member of the Executive of the NCVM.
I further understand that, should he/she be elected to the position of ________________(Name
of position sought) within the Executive of the NCVM, it will be for a period of 2 years
beginning the day when he/she is elected.
For the purposes of this Letter of Understanding, the estimated operational time required to carry
out the roles and responsibilities of the elected position is __________ (Number of days and
hours per week). The employee’s work-plan and deliverables will be established by the NCVM,
and communicated to the contributing Department / Agency.
I fully understand that, should the employee be elected, he/she remains an employee of our
organization with all the rights, entitlements, compensations, and benefits attached to his/her
substantive position. His/her successful work with NCVM will be recognized as our investment
in the employee's career experience as well as our in-kind contribution to the Council.
