SERMON SERIES; Celebrating Togetherness is the theme for the next few weeks worship time based on the scripture readings of Acts 2:42-47 and John 15:1-17. * * * * * ADDITIONAL BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITIES: Embracing Grace is offered 5:45 pm Wednesdays and 9:30 am Sundays and Hebrews is offered at 9:30 am Sundays. Please check out these opportunities in addition to all of the Bible study opportunities and support groups listed on the weekly calendars. * * * * * YLS LIFESAVERS (SUBSTITUTES) NEEDED: Lifesavers are needed for all three YLS times (Wednesdays @ 5:45 pm, Sunday mornings at 9:30 & 10:50). Please call the church office for more information. * * * * * CARE QUILTERS MINISTRY: Mondays from 10 am—3 pm. CREATIVE ARTS MINISTRY: It’s time to change the Art Wall across from the library. Here is your change to shine. The theme for this fall is Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. For everything there is a season . . . Whoever you are, whatever your age, whatever your medium: drawing, painting, fabric art, sculpture (this list could be endless), we want to show off your art this fall. Look up the Ecclesiastes verses to use as your guide. Bring your art to the church office by Thursday, October 15 to be displayed October 16th. Questions? This is intended for anyone who is interested in disability ministry. The “Key Principles for Disability Ministry” will be reviewed and issues of interest discussed. The September 20th Benefit Luncheon and Silent Auction proceeds are most definitely helpful, and will go to extremely good use. The turnout at the event was beyond expectations, but more than the monetary value, we so greatly appreciate the thought behind the generosity. The accident has been a burden for us, but your actions have really lightened the load. Please know we won’t forget your kind gestures. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Denny, Jeannette, Vanessa and Lucas Abbe * * * * * HOSPITAL-PATIENT INFORMATION: Due to changes being made in the computer system at ISJ, please notify Hosanna if you are in the hospital or are going to be going in if you want a visit from Hosanna. Thank you! * * * * * ADULT WINTER VOLLEYBALL: Hosanna is forming a winter volleyball team! If you are age 18 or over and enjoy playing volleyball, sign up for the co-rec volleyball team (if you are 18-you must be out of high school per league policy). We need a minimum of 6 people to sign up and a maximum of 10, and an even number of men and women to play (3 and 3 for each game). Games are on Wednesday evenings and are played at various school gymnasiums in Mankato. League play begins November 2nd. Please sign up by early October so we can secure a spot in the league-division capacity is limited and can fill up prior the registration deadline. A one-hour practice is available once we have all fees in and a roster turned in. Players fees are $25-$35 per player depending on the number that sign up. Questions?
