1.       MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

1.1      To lead on business transformation reviews and process re-engineering across
         the organisation, developing and presenting business case justification for senior
         management approval and project funding. To design, model and implement new
         or modified business processes and organisational structures to deliver a leaner
         and more efficient business, whilst maintaining and improving customer service
         delivery.


2.       RESPONSIBILITIES

2.1      Business lead for corporate-wide change analysis and design identifying the
         organisation's strengths and weaknesses and working with the business to define
         often complex areas of improvement and change

2.2      Establish, manage, direct and advise cross-functional review teams (consisting of
         up to 20 staff) to define and articulate business change and business process
         improvements

2.3      Work with senior finance managers and senior business managers from across
         the organisation to develop financial models to justify potential improvement
         costs and to identify potential cost savings

2.4      Facilitate and negotiate business case buy-in from Directors, change managers
         and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and change

2.5      Advise on and facilitate negotiations with senior managers to obtain the best
         outcome for the company where improvements and efficiencies cut across
         organisational boundaries and budgets

2.6     Work with project managers and change managers to ensure the benefits
        defined in the business case and subsequent benefit delivery plans are delivered,
        using base lined models and performance statistics

2.7      Present business case justifications to senior management for approval

2.8      Design and produce feasibility plans, project briefs and project initiation
         documents (PIDs), where required
2.9    Lead on and implement projects following business case and initiation approval,
       as directed by the Business Transformation Manager

2.10   Document requirements for new ICT applications and produce procurement
       specifications and, where required, manage the tender process and evaluation

2.11   Take a lead role in communicating technical development requirements to the
       business in a language and format that the business will understand and liaise
       with the Head of ICT to exploit new technologies on behalf of the business

2.12   Work in close collaboration with business management and staff to ensure that
       user requirements and constraints are understood and that sensitive areas
       affecting service provision are identified early

2.13   Produce test plans and scenarios on behalf of the business and manage testing
       to ensure that product and processes are acceptable before becoming
       operational

2.14   Advise and direct managers and staff on the implementation of new systems and
       ways of working, facilitating management and staff through the change process

2.15   Carry out all duties with regard to Lewisham Homes Health & Safety policies and
       procedures

2.16   Carry out all duties with regard to Lewisham Homes Equal Opportunities Policy.
