WELCOME MESSAGE
Five years ago, we held our very first missions conference. The keynote speaker then was my friend and mentor, Pastor Jack Hanes. God used him to start Calvary Assembly of God on an incredible missions journey. During the past five years, we officially became a missions church. We became one of the top missions giving churches not only in Hawaii but in the nation. We became a church that sent out missions teams and planted churches in China, India and East Timor. Thank the Lord that He sent such a passionate missions man to us! I am pleased to announce that once again, Pastor Jack Hanes, Senior Pastor of ImagineNations Church, Sydney and former President of the Australian Christian Churches World Missions, will be the keynote speaker at our 6th annual Missions Conference to be held November 14-16. Pastor Jack is well known for his ability to release finances for world harvest and stir a passion in Christians for the lost. He has a great vision to see churches embracing Jesus’ last command to “Go into all the world and make disciples” as their first priority. We will be challenged by the many ways to reach out to people by dynamic speakers as Pastor Art Sepulveda, Founder and Senior Pastor of Word of Life Christian Center, whose church planting activities are leading thousands to the Lord; Pastor Roger Huang, Founder and Executive Director of City Impact, San Francisco, whose community outreach work, endorsed and supported by churches and governments, is turning the Tenderloin district upside-down; Pastor Lorin Carmichael, Founder and Senior Pastor of Sure Foundation Assembly of God, Hilo and Puna, whose kama’aina sports program on the Big Island is supported by politicians and the mayor; Rev. Jeff Swaim, Senior Director of Convoy of Hope, whose disaster recovery team feeds millions of people around the world; and Rev. Rolly Hurst, Assemblies of God World Missionary, who gave up a golf professional life to minister to the next generation of missions. We will also be blessed by guest worship leader, Pastor Kuna Sepulveda, Associate Pastor of Word of Life Christian Center, whose team leads thousands to worship every week.
