Gillman comes to Environics from the Center for Clean Air Policy (CCAP), where her responsibilities included managing daily communications and media activities; planning and implementing press events, Capitol Hill and United Nations-related briefings; creating the CCAP newsletter; handling employee communications; and managing the CCAP Web site and social media campaign.

Prior to CCAP, Gillman was deputy press secretary for the Committee on Natural Resources in the U.S. House of Representatives. She also worked as a communications assistant at the National Governors Association.

Gillman is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Smithsonian Young Benefactors, and she volunteers as a fundraiser for the D.C. area Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a dual degree in journalism and political science, and is currently working toward her master’s degree in public relations and corporate communications at Georgetown University.
