WINHEC Membership 2009, categories and membership fee Background Membership is as an individual donor or institution concerned about the education, livelihood, culture and well being of Indigenous Peoples and their communities. WINHEC members enjoy the privilege of sustaining a movement and advancing the goals by paying annual memberships. Indigenous groups have established consortia such as AIHEC (USA/Canada), Te Tauihu (NZ) and NAIHEN (Australia). These groups provide invaluable guidance, support and resources that align with the WINHEC overall goals. BENEFITS (during the term of membership): Receive WINHEC annual reports (e-copy) in support of indigenous collaboration awareness. Receive WINHEC e-newsletter which will be published quarterly Appointment of a representative to attend invited WINHEC activities. Recognition on our website, newsletters and press releases Invitations to contribute to WINHEC planning/working groups, attend WINHEC functions, events and conferences Access to the WINHEC website - members section: Unique ID and password Journals sections (past and present) and any other publications Future communication plans (i.e., online live discussions / presentations, video conferences) COMMITMENT (to WINHEC): To support and advocate for WINHEC at available times. Contribution is US$5,000 currency per annum (or equivalent amount in local currency). Institutional membership BENEFITS (during the term of membership): Recognition on our website, newsletters and press releases Invitations to contribute to WINHEC planning/working groups Invitations to attend WINHEC functions, events and conferences Receive WINHEC e-newsletter which will be published quarterly Access to the WINHEC website - members section: Unique ID and password Journals sections (past and present) and any other publications Future communication plans (i.e., online live discussions / presentations, video conferences) COMMITMENT (to WINHEC): WINHEC affirmed Institution Accreditation (site and/or programme) to WINHEC at a programme or site level is current and valid. Research and Event collaboration with own organisation Contribution is US$1,000 currency per annum (or equivalent amount in local currency). WINHEC non-affirmed Institution Accreditation (site and/or programme) to WINHEC at a programme or site level is either in process or not yet achieved. Consider WINHEC within own organisations activities. Research and event collaboration with own organisation Contribution is US$2,000 currency per annum (or equivalent amount in local currency). Aligned organisations These organisations are supporters of WINHEC and can include social services organisations, economic/corporate organisations, cultural services providers. Submit one article towards the e-newsletter within that year Endorse or promote WINHEC constitution/plan by e-forum, or workshop session, conference sessions or research exercises Contribution is US$100 currency per annum (or equivalent amount in local currency).
Lifetime membership An individual can seek lifetime membership with WINHEC at any time. Submit one article towards the e-newsletter within that year (subject to editorial approval) Endorse or promote WINHEC constitution/plan by e-forum, or workshop session, conference sessions or research exercises Contribution is US$1,000 currency per annum (or equivalent amount in local currency).
