Old Mobile Phones Wanted: The Jack and Jill Foundation is a charity that helps children with
brain damage who require extended care at home. They are currently running an initiative whereby
any school who collects 300 old mobile phones for their organisation, will in return, receive a 78
inch Promethean ActivBoard (which is an Interactive whiteboard, - a piece of equipment which we
would love to have in our school!) If the school collects a further 200 phones, we will receive a
projector, a pair of speakers and a height adjustable frame. These phones will be recycled to help
support terminally sick babies and their families, provide third world countries with ‘new’ mobile
phones and it also helps prevent the pollution caused by putting old phones into landfills. The
school is interested in taking part in an initiative and would be very grateful if anyone who would
have an old mobile phone, would kindly donate it to the school. Please ask your extended family
and friends if they would have an old mobile phone that they would like to donate to the school. A
collection box will be available outside the principal’s office. Thank you for your continued
support. Yours truly, Ann Marie Meehan, School Principal. St. Baithin’s N.S., St. Johnston, Tel:074
