“Because season 8’s filming schedule took place during the warm north Texas summer months, we will be seen traveling to other, less sweltering climates,” says Brown. “Don’t worry,” he adds, “there will be lots more drama and wedding fuss to keep the audience entertained!” This season will also feature an uncompromising Donnie Brown ceremony for a high profile Olympic gold medalist, still yet to be announced. On the spin off program, Married Away, Donnie and his fellow planners tackle the planning of weddings in various exotic destinations and the inevitable issues that surface when families interact with new environments, cultures and each other. Donnie is currently planning the “yet to be announced” upcoming weddings of a well known screen actress and two star athletes from the NFL and NBA. In addition, Donnie recently inked a publishing deal for his nuptial planning manual tentatively titled Lifting the Veil with the preeminent Stewart, Tabori and Chang, a division of Harry N. Abrams, set to hit store shelves in Fall of 2009. Donnie Brown entered the national arena when he was recruited to plan the glitzy nuptials for Grammy Award winner Leann Rimes and Dean Sheremet.
