Financial Aid Info:
Seniors...FAFSA Day is this Saturday, February 21st.
9:30 am – 3:00 pm at the Charlotte Public Library downtown location only
10:00 am – 2:00 pm at UNCC only
9:00 am – 12:00 noon at all other locations
You and your parents can get FREE help completing and submitting your federal financial aid forms
for college on that day. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to get help with your FAFSA.
Many colleges require the FAFSA for any type of scholarship and/or aid opportunities. To register
and find a list of locations, call toll-free at 866-866-CFNC or visit www.CFNC.org/fafsaday. You
should register ahead of time to secure a spot. Remember the sooner you apply for financial aid, the
better your chances are of receiving funds. Be sure to meet your colleges’ deadlines for completion.
After March 1, very little money is available.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid can be found at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Remember to
apply for your pin number before completing the FAFSA at www.pin.ed.gov.
www.fafsa.ed.gov - The website for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Complete the FAFSA as soon after the first of the year as possible.
www.finaid.org – Provides information about types of financial aid and applying for financial aid.
www.irs.gov – Information regarding Hope and Lifetime Learning tax credits
Tips for Completing Your FAFSA can be found at:
In addition to the FAFSA, some schools also require you to complete the CSS PROFILE:
https://profileonline.collegeboard.com/prf/index.jsp - Link to the College Scholarship
Service/Financial Aid PROFILE. Many colleges, universities, graduate and professional schools,
and scholarship programs use the information collected on PROFILE to help them award nonfederal
student aid funds.

PARENT DROP OFF DETAILS
Due to safety concerns Marvin Ridge High School will be instituting new procedures for those
students crossing from the Student Parking Lot to the high school. Students will only be permitted to
utilize two (2) of the crosswalks that lead to the high school. Staff members will be available to stop
traffic to enable students to cross safely. Students will be expected to wait for school personnel to
stop traffic before they will be permitted to cross. The expected benefit is increased safety for
students and increased efficiency in the Car Rider Drop Off Line during the morning hours. We ask
that parents and student drivers allow more time to arrive to school while the new plan goes into
REMINDER: Only students may park in the Student Parking Lot. Students may NOT be dropped
off in the Student Parking Lot. Thank you for adhering to this safety guideline.
