Kilkenny People of the Year Awards The 12th annual Kilkenny Local Authority/Rehab People of the Year Awards, in association with the Kilkenny People, took place in October. Bulletin Board | 51 Haven Staff Visit Whisky Distillery Pictured: Jackie Flynn, Haven Hillington’s Learning Centre Co-ordinator, with supervisors and staff from Haven Products’ Hillington and Ballieston outside the Glenturret Distillery. Staff were treated to the Famous Grouse Experience, which involved a tour of the distillery, participating in the virtual reality room and tasting some of the famous malt whisky. The visit provided an opportunity for Haven employees to see how they contribute to the prestigious image of the unique distillery through the packaging process. Sporting Chance Graduations and Trip to Croke Park pic to follow The ﬁrst graduations have taken place from the Sporting Chance course in National Learning Network in Tralee. Bulletin Board | 53 TBG Learning Showcase TBG Learning South London held a fun-filled community day in the Agnes Riley Gardens, Balham, to celebrate the end of the academic year. The community day showcased the many courses on offer through TBG Learning, and gave potential new learners a chance to meet tutors and current students, whilst having fun. Activities on offer included football, giant Connect 4, sumo wrestling, bouncy castles, food-tasting, nail and beauty taster sessions and team games.
