Terms and Conditions of UOB Credit Card Same Day Approval (“Offer”) for Saturday Open House
1. This Offer is open to any person (“Applicant”) who seeks to apply for United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (“UOB”) credit card(s) in selected UOB branches during the Saturday Open House. 2. The Offer is only valid for submissions of any UOB credit card applications on the 14th, 21st, 28th of March and 4th of April 2009, from 9.30am – 1.00pm at the following UOB branches:- Bandar Puchong Jaya, Selangor - Damansara Uptown, Selangor - Klang, Selangor - Butterworth, Penang - Bukit Mertajam, Penang - Jalan Kelawei, Penang - Leboh Bishop, Penang - Ipoh, Perak - Kluang, Johor - Jalan Wong Ah Fook, Johor 3. UOB employees and their immediate family members will not be entitled to participate this Promotion. 4. Only New-to-Bank Principal card applicant is eligible to participate in this offer. The Offer will take a minimum of 2 hours to be processed, time within the same day of application, provided complete information and documents, as required by UOB at its absolute discretion, are submitted on the same day. 5. The approval granted for this Offer is a conditional approval only and is subject to the Bank’s final decision. The 2 hours processing of the Offer will only determine a conditional approval for the application and actual application approval and credit limit assignment are subject to UOB’s final decision. 6. Applicants granted with a conditional approval (“Approved Applicants”) will receive a free Travelling Bag (“Gift”) on the same day. The Gift is only applicable for Approved Applicants who:a) are not holding a principal UOB Credit Card at the point of application; and b) submit the application during the Offer period. 7. Entitlement of the Gift does not indicate the final decision made on the application. For avoidance of doubt, a 'successfully approved application' means that the Applicant's credit card has been approved by UOB and a UOB Credit Card has been issued to the said Applicant. Any conditional approvals are by no means deemed to be successfully approved applications. 8. Each Applicant is only entitled to one (1) Gift, irrespective of number card applications submitted. 9. Approved Applicant awarded with the Gift is required to spend a minimum of RM800.00 (single/ cumulative retail transaction) within the first 60 days from the card approval date, subject to the posting date of each transaction. 10. Only retail spend posted will be included for computation of the minimum cumulative spend amount. Overseas spend is after converting to Ringgit Malaysia (RM) and shall be based on UOB transaction record only. 11. RM150 will be billed to Approved Applicant’s UOB Credit Card account if the spend requirement stated in Clause 9 is not complied with. 12. UOB reserves the right to substitute the Gift with another gift of similar value without prior notice. 13. The Gift is non-transferable and non-exchangeable with cash. 14. UOB shall not be obligated to replace any damaged, stolen and/or lost Gift and is not liable for any default of the Gift.

15. UOB is not affiliated with the organization whose product is given as Gift in this Offer and thus, makes no representation and/or warranty with respect to the Gift, its quality and suitability for any purpose. 16. All applications are subject to UOB’s final decision, at its absolute discretion. UOB shall be entitled to reject any such application(s) at any time and from time to time without reason(s) assigning therefore and without liability to the Applicants. 17. By participating in this Offer, the Applicant agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions herein and decisions of UOB. 18. UOB’s decisions on all matters relating to this Offer shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained. 19. UOB shall not be held liable for any misinterpretation or misrepresentation of facts in respect of this Offer published in any mass media, marketing or advertising materials. 20. UOB shall not be liable for any death, injury, mishaps, consequential damage or loss whatsover nature and however arising that may occur in relation to or resulting from this Offer. 21. UOB reserves the right to suspend, extend or terminate earlier this Offer in whole or in part, or to vary, add or delete the Terms and Conditions herein at any time without prior notice to the Applicant at its absolute discretion.
