Concave and Convex lenses and mirrors

 Mirrors _________________ the light while lenses ____________ the light.
Lenses allow light transmission or light to pass through and mirrors do not.
 There are 3 types of mirrors and lenses: concave, convex, and planar
Planar:
 Planar mirrors and lenses are flat. These are traditional mirrors and pieces of
      plastic or glass.
 Planar mirrors and lenses produce identical images as the real object. This means
that things look the same in a planar mirror and lens as they do in reality.

Concave:

 Concave mirrors and lenses are fatter at the _________ than in the __________.
Concave lenses ______________ the light. Concave mirrors ____________ the
      light.
o “Diverge” means that the light bends so that all the rays spread apart and
             never meet.
o “Converge” means that light bends and come together at one point.

           Lens Mirror

Convex:
o Convex mirrors and lenses are fatter in the _____________ than at the
__________. Convex lenses _____________the light. Convex
            mirrors____________ light.

      Lens Mirror
