       OVERVIEW OF AMR / FEMA FEDERAL NATIONAL AMBULANCE SERVICE SUPPORT
       In August 2007 FEMA awarded a federal EMS disaster contract to American Medical Response (AMR). This
       contract provides a full array of ground ambulance, air ambulance and para-transit services to supplement the
       federal and military response to a disaster, act of terrorism or other public health emergency. As the Project
       Director for the FEMA contract and Vice President of Emergency Preparedness for AMR, Steve Delahousey,
       will provide a summary of the contract provisions as well as information on how EMS providers can join
       AMR’s disaster network.

This session will provide information for attendees on the following topics:

       - Become familiar with strategies for researching grants from a variety of grant sources
       - Learn tools to prepare your organization for grant research and administration
       - Understanding the key components of the grantsmanship process
       - Understand the link between strategic planning, grant development and program development
       - Learn about the primary sources of grant funding and how to find those that might help you
       - Learn about typical components of a grant application

emergency preparedness.
