System Overview

The Traumatic Brain Injury Tracker (TBIT) program allows users in theater to view detailed information
about individuals who are involved in various types of incidents, from blasts to vehicle rollovers to
traumatic brain injuries. These incidents (called Significant Actions or SIGACTS), are recorded in TBIT
and once entered then have individuals who were involved with the significant action attached to the
incident.

TBIT also interfaces with the Combined Information Data Network Exchange (CIDNE) application. This
interface allows for significant actions that have been entered in the CIDNE application to be monitored
in TBIT.

TBIT also interfaces with the Theater Medical Data Store (TMDS) application. This interface allows for
traumatic brain injury data that have been entered in the TMDS application to be monitored in TBIT.

TBIT is a web based application, accessible at https://hr.mods.army.mil/PBCT/. It is an application
within the Medical Operational Data System (MODS).

As of version 3.2.0.0 of TBIT, application ownership has been transferred from the Army Office of the
Surgeon General (OTSG) Human Resources Directorate to the Health Policy and Services (HP&S) division
of OTSG.

How to Use This Guide
This guide is intended as a quick start up and reference guide for TBIT. It is not intended as a complete
